I've decided that I've been spending way too much time on the internet - Twitter, Facebook, Etsy and so many others have occupied so much of my time lately that I haven't been able to focus on anything at all. I thought I needed to be online so much to network with other crafters in order to sell my wares. Now I think I just need to get back to basics - craft, craft, craft...
My new goal is to check facebook, twitter etc first thing in the morning and then again at lunchtime. Otherwise I'll be crafting and photographing my items so that each evening I can spend time posting my new items on my Etsy shop and marketing them to my Twitter and Facebook friends at that time. I've become addicted to Etsy Treasuries so I'm going to limit myself to trying once each day to get one - no more obsessing :) Then there are all these other sites for crafters - ArtFire, MyCraftCorner, Zibbet, Craftgawker... The list is endless! Do I need to be on all of them? I'm definitely going to do some research and polling to see which ones are the most beneficial. It's all I can do to keep up with my Etsy shop and weekend fairs. My number one priority is my craft and its quality - how can I do that if all day long I'm at the computer instead of my sewing machine.
Looking for a happy medium,
Tracy

My New Blog
So I decided today that I really didn't like the way my original blog was headed and instead of trying to fix it, thought starting over would just be easier. Therefore, this is the new blog which instead of being focused on just my craft business - Wooltastic - would include many different things including my other craft endeavors, some family bragging, and the trials and tribulations of my life being a stay at home mom for really the first time ever since being recently unemployed. I've set a goal for myself of blogging at least every other day with hopes of it being somethinig insightful and/or inspirational that will keep people reading :) I welcome any and all comments...
